Have your own Study Website

The Data Management workflow at CTU Bern can also create a study website for your study. A study website can be a useful information and communication platform; the target audience can be participants, participating study centers, interested centers or the research community in general. 

We are using the content management system ‘WordPress’ for the creation of study websites. WordPress (https://de.wordpress.org) is an open source system based on PHP and MySQL. It is one of the most common CMS for websites worldwide.

The CTU Data Management offers a full service for website development. You can choose what tasks you want to have done by the CTU:

• Registering and managing your domain
• Hosting services
• Creation of a simple logo for your study/website
• Managing and updating the content of your website.

If you would like to maintain the content of your websites yourself, we can teach you how to

• Create a news item
• Update the content of the whole website

The study websites described here do not contain any functionality for the collection of study data. Study data should be collected in an Electronic Data Capturing system (EDC). CTU Bern works with the EDC systems REDCap and secuTrial.
