New members of staff: Laura Bünemann, Jonas Lüthi and Konstantina Chalkou

13.07.2023 – We are pleased to welcome Laura Bünemann as a new staff member at CTU Bern. Laura is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in computer science and excited to gain insight into the intersection of computer science and clinical research, while contributing to the advancement of medical research as a Junior Research Assistant (Data Management) at CTU. Before shifting her focus to the world of information technology, she got a bachelor’s degree in art history and gained experience in different fields like client care and upcycling design through side jobs. Welcome Laura!

We are also pleased to welcome Jonas Lüthi. Jonas is an economics student at the University of Bern. He has recently completed an exchange semester in the US, broadening his understanding of statistical programs and gaining valuable cross-cultural experiences. He is looking forward to applying his capabilities and further enhancing his professional development as a Junior Research Assistant in the Data Mangement team here at CTU Bern. Welcome Jonas!

Furthermore, we are pleased to welcome Konstantina Chalkou as a new member of staff. Konstantina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Biostatistics. She completed her PhD in Biostatistics & Epidemiology at the ISPM in the University of Bern. During her doctoral studies, she focused on (network) meta-analysis and on developing methods for individualized prediction models, combining randomized and non-randomized trials. Now, she is excited to be a member of the Statistics & Methodology division of CTU Bern. Welcome Konstantina!
