PragMagic Online Tool

21.02.2018

Pragmatic trials are conducted to capture the true effect of a treatment strategy in the real world. Such trials provide a great opportunity to generate real-world evidence in the early stages of drug development.

The PragMagic Tool aims to support trial design teams to maximize generalizability of trial findings to the routine care setting of interest while ensuring validity and operational feasibility of the trial. It gives insight into the possible consequences of different pragmatic trial design choices and operational challenges on generalizability, validity, precision, stakeholder & ethical acceptability and operational feasibility.

CTU Bern and the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine of the University of Bern have supported the development of the tool which was devised as part of the IMI GetReal project.
