NRP 74 “Smarter Health Care”: Second targeted call for proposals

30.11.2017

The National Research Programme "Smarter Health Care" (NRP 74) is promoting innovative health services research that will help to tackle the practical challenges of caring for the chronically ill in Switzerland.

In addition, NRP 74 is contributing to improve the usability of health data and create a strong community of health services researchers that conducts world-leading research in this area. The program is operating with an overall budget of CHF 20 million and runs for five years (2017 – 2022).

In its second call, launched on November 29th, the program targets a clearly defined set of topics: Desired projects must refer to the care for patients with chronic conditions at home as well as to the organisation and management of the future Swiss health care system.

To be more specific, the project proposals must fall within one of the following two areas:

  • Area 1: Care for patients with multiple chronic conditions at home and their social context
  • Area 2: Health care policy and management to optimize the care for patients with chronic conditions

The program expects to be able to support 4 to 6 research projects with an available funding of CHF 1.8 million.

Interested researchers must submit their letters of intent until February 7, 2018.
