New version of CDISC Glossary released

17.01.2018

CDISC is a global, nonprofit charitable organization that develops data standards to streamline clinical research and enable connections to healthcare.

One of the organization’s projects is the CDISC Glossary, which harmonizes definitions (including acronyms, abbreviations, and initials) used in the various standards initiatives undertaken by CDISC in clinical research. It includes references and links to other glossaries, such as regulatory dictionaries and health-related controlled terminologies useful in conducting clinical research.

In December 2017, CDISC has released the newest version of its Glossary. Version 11.0 is now available through the NCI-EVS website: NCI EVS maintains and distributes CDISC Glossary controlled terminology as a part of the National Cancer Institute NCI Thesaurus. The latest glossary update contains 56 new terms and around 100 changes to the existing content.
